Latest News

This blog has been quiet lately. Not that there aren't stories to post, just precious little time to write and publish them.

We recently visited Mike's mother in Salem, Oregon, to celebrate her 80th birthday. Lots of friends, family, and neighbors were on hand to partake in the festivities. All of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, except for two who couldn't make the distance, were there, and the house and yard were filled and overflowing with guests.

We stayed the weekend with a cousin who has a 4,000 grass farm. We took loads of pictures so when I get a chance I'll post a few things.

We've also been busy working with the Liberty Airport Advisory Committee on the status and future of our local airport, and also now write a weekly column for the Liberty Gazette, called, "The View from Up Here". We share fun and adventurous stories from our own experiences as well as interviews with local pilots. We've been having a lot of fun with that, but nothing is as important as the message of salvation, which really is the only thing that offers any permanance.

On that note, the book, "The Courier" is still in negotiations with a publisher. The finished product is in God's timing. "The Courier" brings the message of salvation in a very personal way. I'm not a really patient person, but I'm not the one in charge.

From one of my favorite eSubscriptions, CyberSalt, comes this:

"Preacher," the organizer said, "I trust you'll see to it that the weather won't turn bad on us."
Our pastor shook his head. "Sorry," he replied. "I'm sales, not management!
