Special People
We had two very special people come to Texas recently - Angie and Myles. This was Myles's first trip to Texas and none of us wanted him to leave. He charmed everyone, including Brother Jim and Vicki. During our visit to Brother Jim and Vicki's house, Brother Jim showed us all his scar from the recent surgery. Angie had told Myles that we were going to meet a man who had cancer, just like him. So of course, Myles was very interested. After a few minutes he said he wanted to see his scar again, and then lifted his shirt to show him his. "Does he have a central line?" Myles wanted to know. "Not yet," Brother Jim explained, "but I might get one soon!" What I really hope is that seeing Myles would be an encouragement to Brother Jim. He's prayed for him so often and is always asking about him, so the timing seemed great for them to meet.

Difficult as it is to keep current with everyone, this blog is intended to serve as a way to share news with friends and family. The blog began in January, 2005, and my entries are posted such that the most recent entry appears first. If you'd like to scroll through some of the older entries, you'll find more stories of my travels and adventures, and thoughts and such. Feel free to leave a comment if you wish. Glad to have you along!
