Post-Rita

Liberty and Livingston both have a lot of trees and power lines down. Electricty returned to the house in Livingston Monday afternoon, but there are septic problems.

Power and water are out in Liberty and I'm hearing it may take 2-4 weeks. I have lots of tree limbs down and some minor damage to the house.

For me, the worst of it is that what I've found in interior damage so far is damage to the kitchen floor, which is the one part Mycol had fixed up in that house; and the very fact that I now have to deal with an insurance company and house clean-up again. That slaps me with a swirl of memory and emotion I wish I didn't have.
