Highlights of Africa - Part I

Since returning from Africa I am often asked, “How was your trip?”

What do I say…. ?

It was an experience... one I wish you could have.

As a member of Answering the Call’s team of 11, eight missionaries and three media people, I spent two weeks in Central Africa in August, sharing my testimony of faith, and striving to encourage people who feel they have so little hope.

Since this blog is accessible to anyone via the Internet, I am going to have to leave out most of the names, for the safety and security of the people who live in Africa as well as some who travel there often to serve.

This trip was taped for television and will air first in Roanoke, Virginia on Channel 13, for five consecutive Saturdays, at 7:00 p.m., beginning September 24th. They are five 30-minute shows, in reality show format, similar to Survivor, but without competition. The mini-series shows how eight ordinary American Christians survive two weeks in war-torn Central Africa, sharing their faith through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is my hope that the series will soon be broadcast nationwide. Following are highlights of our trip.
