Notables

My mom spends one day a week at a mission serving homeless men. As an outreach ministry the mission encourages volunteers to write a brief encouraging note on a note card. Mission workers hand these cards to their guests, who hopefully are uplifted to know someone cares and someone prays for them.

Sometimes, however, mistakes happen. Sometimes handwriting isn't perfect and sometimes the letter "o" may look like the letter "a", as in the case of the message written on one card (which was discarded after a hearty laugh):

"You are stranger than you know - keep on going!"

Another good laugh was shared by workers when punctuation was obviously overlooked in this well-meaning note:

"May the Lord Jesus protect you from someone who cares"
