Trip to Indy

Back in August Mike and I visited my family in Indianapolis. We had the opportunity to take my nieces and nephew up for a flight around the northeast part of the city. Here are some pics of that afternoon.

Niece, Hannah, took control of the plane while Mike, who has taught many people to fly, gave her some instruction and encouragement. Hannah did a great job flying the airplane.

Nephew, Levi, enjoyed the ride from the back seat.

Take a look at the instrument panel below. Hannah is flying the plane, heading in a northwesterly direction, flying at 3100 feet (above sea level).

Nieces, Sharon and Abby, rode in the back and seemed to enjoy a different view of the town. They even saw neighborhoods where some of their friends live, around Noblesville and Geist Reservoir.
