Our pilot, John, is a really personable guy and a great tour guide. And what a job! Can you imagine going to work every day flying over the Grand Canyon-and getting paid for it!?
This helicopter holds eight people and a computer calculates the weight and balance and spits out the seating arrangement. I was so excited to have a seat right next to the pilot. I told him it was okay with me if he wanted to talk to me about flying a helicopter, so he did! He'd give the tour, pointing out different things about the Canyon, and then push his headset aside and talk to me about the chopper. Hmmm... another idea for my growing list of things to do!
My friend, Janet, went up with me on this ride. I had to prod a little, but she finally gave in. And you had a blast, didn't you Janet!?
