Got my motorcycle license/endorsement... about a week and a half ago. Went to one of those 3-day weekend courses thru a local college. There were seven people in the class - five men and two women. All but one (that would be me) had riding experience. Most had their own motorcycles already and were just taking the course to learn additional safety stuff.
By the end of the course that Sunday afternoon we had put up the bikes and returned to the class room to fill out evaluations. As we were doing that the instructor began calling people out one at a time to speak with them in the hall. I could hear him giving tips, like, "here's where you missed points on your skills test" and "what you could do better is..." blah-blah-blah.
When he came back in the room I was surprised so I said, "Hey, you didn't talk to me!" And one other guy said, "You didn't talk to me either." We both thought he had forgotten us.
Then the instructor said, "Oh, I didn't talk to you two... that's because you two are the only ones who ACED this course! And one of you totally surprises me!" - he said, looking straight at me.
He told me after the class was dismissed how surprised he was that I had never ridden a motorcycle before and that he thought I did exceptionally well. We talked for quite awhile and he was very encouraging and very nice.
So there you have it - I have no plans (yet) to buy a motorcycle.... but, you just never know what I'll do next.
