Angie and Myles are in Durham now. They took an Angel Flight Wed. afternoon. Myles has some tests Thursday and then they'll take another Angel Flight back to Indy. The pilot taking them to Durham is a urologist from Methodist Hospital in Indy. The one taking them back to Indy is from Danville, Virginia, not far from Roanoke. Myles hasn't been feeling well for quite some time. He should have the next transplant some time in October. I hope that will take care of this.
Well, looks like I need to head out somewhere... Rita's already a CatV... hmmm.... now where in this big world should I go... ? :)
Actually, I'm going to go with Rusty and Lynna up to the lake house - that's in Livingston, about 50 miles north of Houston. We'll still get some torrential storms up there but it won't be as strong as what I think Liberty is going to get. Missy, Steven, and Kody are going to stay with some of Steven's family in Dallas.
Well, the city of Houston is pretty much shutting down tonight. Everyone I know around here is off work now till after the hurricane is gone. Banks closed as of 5pm this evening.
I have Zelda Rose in her stall in Rusty's garage, hoping it doesn't blow away. Levi (the Jeep) will probably rough it out in the old garage behind my house. It won't take a real strong wind to take that away though. Rusty thinks I should take the Olds up to the lake so I will do that.
To my out of town family and friends: If you try to call during or after the hurricane and I don't answer, we may have communication problems for awhile, but keep checking this blog and when possible I will post an "I'm okay" here.
Charles from Roanoke said he's already seen the first few minutes of Episode 1 of Crisis In Africa and said it's incredible. I can't wait to see it! Sure wish I was going to be in Roanoke this Saturday!!! Cousin Bill called and invited me up to take refuge there in the valley... :)
