Highlights of Africa - Part VI

Each of the three days of the conference we were given the gift of wonderful songs. These people are known for breaking out in praise songs, clapping and shouting, singing to the Lord in the unique African way. Witnessing that is always such a blessed experience.

There was one man there, whom I will call Joseph, a Dinka man, who led the conference in song each time. Joseph is full of the Spirit, an incredibly dedicated Christian who has suffered severe beatings by Muslims for his witness for Christ. Even after being beaten and left for dead a couple of years ago, Joseph recovered and asked for donations of bicycles so that he could equip more pastors and evangelists to go out to the bush and share the Love of God with people who have never even heard of Jesus!

Watching, experiencing the atmosphere when Joseph was leading worship is an experience I wish all of you could have. But what followed my testimony was something so great, so moving, that these very words will not even do it justice.
