Week #3 of Chemo
Angie took Myles to the ER last night because of a fever. He has a severe ear infection, but he is also neutropenic (I don’t know how you spell that), which means that his white blood cell count is extremely low. That’s happening because of being on chemo, which is killing off the white blood cells that make up the lymphomas. Problem is, it’s killing off too many. So they’re giving him the strongest antibiotics they can. They stayed at the hospital last night and will stay again tonight and hopefully will be released tomorrow. They are still planning to administer the Rotuxin today, which is that one chemo med that they have to take longer to give because he tends to have an adverse reaction to that. But, Angie says Myles seems to be feeling okay right now.
